Saad ni Edward Glenn A. Vilela sa kanyang mensahe, “I feel so honored and blessed for being one of the recipients of “Mayor Danny Toreja Scholarship Assistance” for the Academic Year 2014-2018 at Batangas State University and I want to express my sincerest gratitude for your tremendous financial help towards my academic goals. My greatest passion in life is to become one of the best hoteliers in the near future and this would never have been possible without your support. Thank you for helping me attain my greatest dream. Thank you again for helping me continue my education into university and putting me on the path to greatness. And I hope to be able to help future students in our community in achieving their academic goals just as you have helped me. Thank You and God Bless.”
Nagpaabot din ng mensahe sa punong bayan si Amiel, “I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to you for giving me the privilege to become one of your scholars. It is an honor for me to be one of the recipients of your scholarship program. Thanks to your generous support that I finally completed my college degree and being the first-degree holder in our family.
Attending college is not that easy as we thought, having finances on tuition and miscellaneous, books, projects and even making and accomplishing thesis. Growing up in a simple and not rich family, being my mother as a sewer and my father which is unemployed, I stopped my schooling since I graduated in secondary education. For almost 2 ½ years, I worked as a service crew in a gasoline station to earn money to prepare my college finances. It was 2014 when I entered college at Batangas State University in Alangilan taking up Automotive Technology under the College of Industrial Technology. The first year is tough as I expected and with the help of my family and earned money I have, I managed to move up to the second year. There comes the difficulty I encountered in being a college student most especially my struggle on the financial aspect. It was the year 2015 when I was a 2nd year when I become one of your scholars. It was a blessing to me that God has given your scholarship program helped me a lot on my financials for almost 3 years.
Being one of your scholars gave me the motivation to study hard to maintain the grade requirement necessary for the scholarship continuance. From 1st year to 4th-year level, I managed to maintain that grade requirement. Because of your financial support to me, my tuition and miscellaneous fees have been covered up and by maintaining my grades for four years, I become one of the honor students of our department.
Last June 18, 2018, when our graduation ceremony commenced and on that day, I received my diploma and medal for being a Cum Laude, I was so happy that time that the fruit of my hard work was held by my bare hands. I am very thankful to our Lord God that I finish my studies, and you play a big role in it. Without your scholarship program, I cannot survive my finances on my own. I am really thankful to you for this opportunity. This scholarship program helps me a lot to graduate in tertiary education with flying colors.
As of now, I am currently seeking and applying for a job in the industry for me to help my family. Someday, I also want to help other students to finish their studies like what you have done to me. I hope that your scholarship program will continue to help other students and inspire them to achieve their dreams. I am very thankful to you and I know God will pour out more blessings to you and your family and even to our municipality to still lend a hand to those who are needed.
Again, thank you, Sir, for the opportunity you have given to me. I owe you this and hoping that someday I will repay your kindness. God bless you always and have a good day!”
